As a girl that grew up in a small town in Minnesota life was pretty great, but not all the times. School life in Hills, Minnesota is pretty easy at times, you don't have to worry about not having friends or getting left out of something because you weren't 'popular' or didn't fit in with your friends. I am a sophomore at Hills Beaver Creek and my classes can be easy at times, but it always seems like the teachers make a plan to give us a bunch of homework on the same day and always schedule tests on the same day too.

I'm a very 'sporty' person. I love to play sports it's a passion of mine that I've always had. I always try to remember to just go out and have fun, that's the main goal. It doesn't matter if you win or lose just as long as you are having fun playing the sport you love. My teammates become my family when I'm on a team no matter the team. It doesn't matter if I'm only playing with them for a couple games or for the whole season. I participate in multiple sports like basketball, volleyball, and track and I try my best to be the best I can be during all of those sports.

Family is the most important thing in my life. I wouldn't be where I am today without them. They push me do my absolute best. My dad (Derek) and mom (Staci) always attend my sporting events and cheer their loudest and my grandma and grandpa come all the way from Slayton, Minnesota, which is close to a hour away, to watch me play and cheer me on. When I get the chance I like to go and watch my brother (Ty) play sports. I can't always make it to his games because I have practices and games that I have to attend.

One of the reason why I'm always pushing myself to do better and to never give up is because of my little cousin Lorin. She passed away before the age of two. She wasn't able to do the things I do today, so everything I do is for her. I never give up on something no matter if it is really easy or if it's the hardest thing I've done. She is the reason I push myself that extra little bit to do better than the last time and not just in sports and school. It feels like she is watching over my whole entire family and myself and helping us and guiding us. She is my motivation in life!
